Class Description
“Making Ute Holiday Specialty Meals and Desserts" introduces Ute students aged 10-18 to the rich culinary traditions of their culture. In this hands-on program, students will learn to prepare traditional Ute holiday meals and desserts, exploring recipes passed down through generations. They will discover the importance of native ingredients, such as bison, wild berries, and corn, and the cultural significance behind each dish. Through cooking, students will connect with their heritage, celebrate the flavors of Ute holidays, and gain valuable skills in the kitchen while preserving their community's culinary legacy.
